How to install Farming Simulator 25 mods
Install FS25 mods on PCs.
If you downloaded a mod folder with files, copy and paste them into this game directory of your computer:
- XP/Windows 10: User\My Games\FarmingSimulator25\Mods
- Vista: Documents\My Games\FarmingSimulator2025\Mods
Note: German directory/folder names will be slightly different.
Windows 10 and later open ZIP files with no issues, but for RAR files, WinRAR or similar software is required. These programs also work with ZIP files.
Install FS25 mods on MAC OS.
To install mod on Mac, you need to copy the ZIP file into the directory/folder here:
- /Library/Application Support/FarmingSimulator2025/mods
The directory/folder for mods on the App Store version of Farming Simulator 25 is here:

The most popular Farming Simulator mod file types are:
RAR – another type of compressed file. When the download is completed, you must extract the files using the RAR extractor software. What you’ll get there will be either ZIP or EXE files. Then, open and/or run them.
ZIP – files are compressed files that have been reduced to make them smaller. Open the ZIP file to see what files are inside, but you don’t need to extract them. Just move the mod file to the mod folder and launch the game.

I prefer to use a zip file for modding. It’s easier to install.
Do I need to extract if the mod file is packed?
Yes, you are right must be moved to FarmingSimulator2025 folder and active in the game.
Check the mod file extension, if it is a .rar, the mod will not work, you must unzip it.
