I just wanted to write to you that I came across your mod realistic worker cost and that I like it because I am a fan of fs and realism myself. I was thinking and wanted to share this idea with you, since I am not good at programming I thought I could share this idea with you. The idea is to add a living neighborhood to fs, i.e. NPCs who live around come to life and work on their fields with their own machinery. That would be the first part, and the second would be that you could ask them for a favor or they would ask you for a favor, so that they would be physically present on the map. If you like the idea in any way, I would be happy if you would respond.

FS25 NPC Favor – Living Neighborhood (An idea by Lion2008)
Tired of feeling like the only farmer in a beautiful, empty world? This mod fixes that!
What does it do?
It populates your map with virtual neighbor farmers (NPCs). They have their own lives: they wake up, work their assigned fields, take breaks, and head home at night. They’re not just decorations—you can interact with them!
Key Features:
Living Neighbors:
– AI-controlled farmers with names, personalities, and daily schedules.
Build Friendships:
– Talk to NPCs to build a relationship score. The better friends you are, the more they’ll interact.
Favor System:
– Your neighbors will ask you for help! Complete tasks like “borrow my tractor” or “help with harvest” to earn cash and improve your standing.
Simple & Immersive:
– Walk up, press E to talk. Favors appear as on-screen tasks. It adds life without complicated menus.
Fully Customizable:
– Don’t like how often they ask for help? Change it! Want more or fewer NPCs? You’re in control via the settings file.
Current State (V1.0.0.0):
The core systems are fully functional (AI, schedules, relationships, favors). As a first release, the NPCs themselves are represented by simple visual markers—think of them as the “souls” of your neighbors. The plan is to clothe these souls with proper 3D character models in future updates. Blips “should work” but they arent, therefor its hard to see where the NPC’s are.
This mod is for players who want a more lived-in, dynamic world. It’s a lightweight social simulation that runs alongside your farming, giving you optional side activities and a sense of community.
